The Yarmouth Sweeny’s Funeral Home Atom AA Mariners played two games on Saturday at Mariners Centre against the visiting Acadia Axemen.
In game 1 the teams played to a thrilling 2-2 tie. For the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Atom AA Mariners, Parker Leblanc fired in two goals while Cullen Fitzgerald and Sawyer Kristensen each had an assist. In net was Noah Muise.
Game 2 the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Atom AA Mariners were handed a 6-1 loss. Parker Leblanc found the back of the net and Sawyer Kristensen added an assist. Noah Muise was in net.

On Saturday, Wade’s Wire Trap Mariners won a tight game against the Bearcats with a final score of 4-3.
Goal scorers were Owen Penney, Michel Comeau, Spencer Surette, & Orren Hatfield.
Assists went to Owen Fitzgerald, Cameron Kerr, Connor Prouty, Spencer Surette & Alex Barr. Jacob Atwood was in net for the win.
On Sunday Yarmouth defeated Truro 6-2.
Alex Barr had 4 points – 1 goal & 3 assists. Owen Penney scored twice while Orren Hatfield, Jaden Kerr, & Spencer Surette each had singles. Ben LeBlanc had 2 assists while Ryder Travis, Cameron Brown, Owen Fitzgerald, and Spencer Surette each had one. Izaac Deveau was in net for the win.
Next weekend the Wade’s Wire Trap Mariners will be in the road to participate in the Bluenose invitational Tournament in Amherst.

The Yarmouth Scotiabank Western Riptide White Female Bantam A team played two home games over the weekend versus Metro East Inferno Gold. On Saturday they won their first game 2-0 with goals by Emily Crosby and Karli MacDonald. Breanne Deveau, Karli MacDonald and France Boudreau each had an assist. They also won their game on Sunday 5-2. Carli Kini had two goals, and Madison Cushing, Chloe Swaine and Emily Crosby each had one goal. Ocean Sears had two assist with the other assists by Jada MacKinnon, Carly Kini, Sydnee Lloyd, Courtney Fitzgerald and Karli MacDonald. Sophie Thimot was in net for both games.

Yarmouth Pink Star Barro Atom A Mariners played on the weekend on home ice over the Clare-Digby Atom A and ended in a tie 5-5.

The GPK Refrigeration Peewee A Mariners earned silver in the 53rd Annual Bluenose tournament in Amherst, NS over the weekend.
They played three round robin games. The first game was played Friday against the Bedford Blues, they lost the game 6-3.
Connor Pothier, Blake Newell and Drew Muise had one goal each, with Damien Cottreau, Ashton Samms and Connor Pothier assisting.
First up on Saturday they played the Sackville Flyers to a 1-1 tie. Lone goal was scored by Damien Cottreau and assisted by Ben Lyons.
The second Saturday game saw the Mariners against the Moncton Hawks with the Mariners winning by a score of 3-0. Drew Muise, Connor Pother and Blake Newell each had one goal. Damien Cottreau, Ryan d’Entremont, Lucas Cottreau and Cameron Perry each had one assist. Goalie Brady Saulnier stopped all shots for the shutout.
Sunday started with a knockout game against the Sackville Flyers, which the Mariners won 3-2 in a shootout to advance to the championship game. Regulation goals were scored by Damien Cottreau and Ashton Samms with Blake Newel adding one assist. The winning shootout goal was scored by Blake Newell.
The Mariners played in the Championship game versus Bedford Blues and lost 5-4. All four Mariner goals were scored by Blake Newell, with Ben Lyons, Lucas Cottreau and Sean-Phillippe Fernandez helping with one assist each.
Brady Saulnier was in net all weekend.

It was a 4-3 victory for Graham Construction Ltd Midget C (Reigh’s).
Scoring for Graham Construction Ltd Midget C (Reigh’s) was Hunter Muise with a hat trick and Evan Locke with 1. Assists went to Jacob Doucette with 3, Jared Sanford with 2 and Chayton Batlett and Dominic Higby each with 1.

The Men’s High Single for the night was Lolly Surette with a 143. He also had the Men’s High Triple of 394.
Rose Doucette had the Ladie’s High Single with a 118 and the High Triple of 318.
