The new Yarmouth Elementary School is continuing construction again.
After a short break due to weather, the Parade street Elementary School is back on track.
Steve Stoddart, the director of operational services for the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education says that they hope to soon have an open house to show the public their plans.
“We hope sometime in the near future to have an open house on location so people can see the drawings of the school so people can see what actually is being built.”
The new school which will include students from Yarmouth Central School and the recently closed South Centennial School is set to open in September 2019.
The school will be built at the corner of Parade and Brunswick streets.
The project had stopped at the end of December.
“Hopefully things will go along and the weather will cooperate and they’ll get things done as quickly as possible.” said Stoddart.
