X-ray services are now available in Digby once again.
The unit at Digby General Hospital was shut down Saturday evening.
Randy Wallace is the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiac Investigation for the Nova Scotia Health Authority in South West Nova.
He says the following morning a service technician determined that a new part was required.
“Monday morning we were able to get a part supplied to us. We went to Digby and had the part installed and were operational again by 9:40 a.m.”
Wallace says diagnostic imaging technology is used regularly and parts do wear out or break from time to time.
