A storm is beginning to bear down on our region.
Wind, rainfall and storm surge warnings are in effect for Southwestern Nova Scotia.
Wind gusts this afternoon and evening could reach 140 km/h.
The impending storm has led to dozens of closures including all schools in our local boards.
Earlier, we posted pictures of flooding and high water levels in Yarmouth Bar during high tide around noon.

Thousands are already without power in Nova Scotia, including Nova Scotia Power customers in Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby counties.
Right now, restoration times are Sunday evening at 11:30.
Comfort centres are open at the Woods Harbour Community Centre, the Port Clyde Fire Hall, the Nova Scotia Power Payment office in Shelburne and the Islands and Barrington Passage Fire Hall.
The Yarmouth Joint Emergency Management Office says warming centres will be made available to the public in the event of a major power outage.
Updates will be posted on the Yarmouth Joint Emergency Management Office website and Facebook page or you can call 902-742-8558 for further information.
