It’s hoped a job fair in Yarmouth next month will connect the right people together.
It’s being held at the NSCC Burridge Campus on Wednesday April 19 and is being hosted by Nova Scotia Works and Southwest Employment Services.
Julie Walters of Nova Scotia Works says the timing couldn’t be better.
“There’s a huge need for this. Everyday I speak with employers and they tell us they can’t find workers. Everyday in our office we have job seekers saying ‘hey I need a job, I can’t find anything.” So, we’ll have professional positions that are being recruited for, entry level positions, general labour positions.”
Walters says the job fair is an opportunity to get everyone in the same room and make some matches.
