"PET Projects is a Shelburne County volunteer organization that helps find forever families for homeless, abandoned and lost animals. This NO-KILL and a NO-CAGE group provides loving foster homes until families can be found (no matter how long it may take!) and also works alongside owners and rescuers to provide them with the tools and resources necessary to be a part of the solution. You can visit the virtual animal shelter at www.petprojects.ca to find pictures and descriptions of adoptables, as well as access to other services. Adoptables are also featured in the Photo Gallery here on the CJLS web page each week.

Here are a few thought provoking words to condsider:

"Maria's Santa Paws Giving Tree" at Maria's Convenience, King Street Shelburne is partnering with PET Projects this holiday season for a gift drive to collect monetary donations and pet food for the hundreds of abandoned animals who will need care in 2010. Together, we can make a difference. To learn more go to www.petprojects.ca

Are you trying to find a gift for an animal lover on your list who has everything? Why not consider a Christmas card insert. Inserts are available at Maria's Convenience Store, King Street, Shelburne for $10, $20 and $30. Money raised will directly help animals in need in honor of the animal lover on your list. Thank you for thinking about the animals during the holiday season.

Do you have a doghouse that is not being used in your back yard? They can be dropped off anytime at 528 Sandy Point Road, Shelburne to be refurbished for animals in need this winter. PET Projects at www.petprojects.ca  thanks you for being a part of the solution.

Dogs are companion animals and they want to be a part of your family. If your dog is spending more time in your backyard than curled up at your feet this winter, PET Projects will partner with you to re-home your dog. Please contact PET Projects at www.petprojects.ca to give your dog a second chance at a life she deserves!

Though a donation of any amount is appreciated to help the next animal in need (as our group receives no formal funding and is dependent on community support), all of PET Projects' pets are FREE to adopt for potential pet owners who have been screened and approved by the group --- we are committed to finding the very best homes for each and every animal in our care!  Visit our website or email info@petprojects.ca to learn more about what we do and ways you can be involved in "helping one animal at a time"!"
