The fifth annual Afterglow festival kicks off tonight.
Rain could put a damper on things but Founder Ashton Rodenheiser says the show will go on.
She says, actually, the much needed showers could add a bit of magic to the event.
“I think because we haven’t had a lot of rain people are kind of happy to see it instead of the opposite where people tend to be unhappy to see rain. I think maybe people won’t be put off by it.”
Rodenhiser isn’t being slowed down by the downtown construction either.
She says she’s had to be a little more creative but paintings, musicians and fire shows will go on as usual.
The two day event wraps up Saturday night.
