Negotiations between the province and Nova Scotia Teachers Union are set to continue through the weekend.
The announcement comes after three days of conciliation talks this week.
The Union broke their silence briefly this afternoon to respond to questions from Education Minister Karen Casey about some teachers who attended a conference in Hawaii earlier this month.
The minister said the trip should have been cancelled while teachers are under a work to rule action.
However, Union president Liette Doucet says that all pre-approved personal development is allowed under Work-to Rule as it is covered by the current contract.
Members from both sides have agreed not to speak with media while negotiations are ongoing.
