A flag raising will take place tomorrow in Yarmouth to mark Heart Month.
The community is encouraged to attend the event at Town Hall at noon.
David Olie, Heart and Stroke Program Coordinator for Southwest Nova Scotia, says more than 2,500 volunteer canvassers
will be hitting the streets to collect donations in Nova Scotia to support Heart Month campaign.
He says money raised in communities like Yarmouth helps fund research and save lives.
He says volunteers are Heart and Stroke's ambassadors in the community.
"So that the people who have donated through direct mail or on-line or in-memorial or to the Big Bike ride, we have our canvassers going around
and saying a personal thank you to all these people for what they have done for us."
Olie says tomorrow's flag raising will reveal a brand new look for Heart and Stroke and it will be a brand launch for Yarmouth.
