A few Yarmouth Mariner players were among award winners announced recently by the Maritime Hockey League.

Goaltenders Leif Hertz and Justin Ritcey tied Pictou County's Daniel Vautour and Luke Melanson for the league's top goaltending duo award.

Both Pictou and Yarmouth allowed 145 goals in 50 regular season games.

Also, Mariners defenceman Noah McMullin was named to the MHL's rookie all-star team.

McMullin had four goals and 15 assists in 42 games.

No South Shore Lumberjack players were recognized.

The Mariners look to bounce back tonight against the Truro Bearcats in their Eastlink South Division semi-final.

Truro won game one 5-2.
