Everyone could use a pick-me-up this time of year.
This one is a little different.
The Clean Nova Scotia Foundation kicks of its 2018 ‘Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up’.
It’s the province’s largest volunteer-driven community clean-up program.
The Clean Foundation provides supplies and support to participants for community-based clean-ups.
Amy Hilyaard, is waste reduction coordinator for Wastecheck.
She says they’re pleased to take part each year.
“We’re actually a distribution centre for the bags and the cleanup kits, so we’ll have those ready beginning in April.”
She says more volunteers participate each year.
Once the supplies and materials are in place, registration will open for those wanting to participate.
