It's shaping up to be a busy summer for Bluenose II.
The Lunenburg-based schooner is in the state of Massachusetts for Sail Boston 2017.
Bluenose II will be involved in multiple events including the Grand Parade of Sail and public boarding.
Director of Operations, Alan Creaser, says the Boston port is part of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta.
"Celebrating Canada's 150th birthday. Bluenose will be joining the floatilla of tall ships in Boston, probably somewhere between 40-50 ships."
The schooner will be in Boston for five days before making its way back to Lunenburg.
Bluenose II will then spend the month of July and August visiting ports across Nova Scotia and Quebec as part of the Tall Ships festival.
Creaser says the captain and crew are prepared.
"They're pretty excited to be showing Bluenose and showcasing the ship, its story and its legacy for the province and the country."
Creaser says the new rudder is working perfectly and the schooner has been certified by the American Bureau of Shipping.
