Team Nova Scotia goes to work today at the 2017 Canadian Mixed Curling Championships.
They’re in action against 1-0 Team Ontario at 2:30 and against 0-1 Yukon tonight at 7.
Nova Scotia Skip Paul Flemming, a two-time mixed curling champion is joined on the team by husband and wife Christie and Tyler Gamble as Second and Third, and Lead Teri Udle.
Flemming says an event like this is marathon, not a sprint.
“You don’t necessarily have to get out of the gate really quick, but at the same time you have to hold your own and try to make the playoffs, and that’s our goal. We have a strong team, we’ve had some good practices over the last month and we’re ready to go.”
In other action today, at 2:30, Northern Ontario tries to go 2-0 against Nunavut, Alberta takes on Newfoundland, New Brunswick against PEI and Manitoba versus Northwest Territories.
