The movement to see Bridgewater get a public transit system is continuing to make progress.
The results of a recent feasibility study show that most people in the town are interested in getting a bus.
Mayor David Mitchell says he’s not surprised.
He says now the major issue has to do with cost, which is still unknown.
“We’re looking for some information from Yarmouth, who’ve had a bus for just over a year,” he says. “Very similar sized route, very similar size bus. So, we’re looking for some advice from them just based on their experience.”
A final report including several options and their price tags is expected to be presented in the next few weeks.
Mitchell says it will then go to budget deliberations which will determine if and when the system could be implemented.
