While the hot summer is driving many to the beach it is also drying out people's wells.

The Municipality of the District of Barrington is trying to take the pressure off.

They are making the arena available for showers and trying to find out who is need of bottled water.

Barrington CAO Rob Frost says they are getting help from the community.

"Right now we're working with ground search and rescue who are going to help us distribute them."

Frost says it's a time for neighbours to help each other.

"Keep an eye out for your neighbours and make sure if there's people that you know of that might need a little assistance that you're reaching out to them."
