A suspect has been arrested in connection with the report of a suspicious man in Yarmouth.
The Yarmouth Town RCMP issued a news release yesterday saying that on Monday, a 13-year-old girl who was walking her
dog on Parade Street, near Central School, was approached by a man.
According to police, the man allegedly grabbed the girl by the wrist and attempted to pull her. She escaped afer kicking him.
Cst. Dana LeBlanc said shortly after they issued the news release late yesterday afternoon, , the public responded
“As a result of our media release going out yesterday, we had several people contact us and pass on some information and as a result we arrested
a 24 year old man from Yarmouth.”
Cst. LeBlanc says charges are pending and the suspect will appear in court today.
The suspect’s name will be released once charges are filed.
LeBlanc says details of the charges will also be released.
