Operation Christmas has kicked off.
It’s Nova Scotia’s anti-impaired driving campaign.
RCMP Corporal Dal Hutchinson tells Acadia News it’s an opportunity for all police agencies to work together.
“We crack down on impaired driving through enforcement and education. Nova Scotia RCMP will be setting up strategic checkpoints across the entire province.”
He says as of today, the RCMP will start using the Drager (Drag-er) Drug Test, a mobile drug screening system that uses oral fluid to test for seven types of the most commonly abused drugs including cannabis.
