There were more grassfires in Yarmouth Monday.

Firefighters responded to Regent Street and a large fire in Rockville.

Large sections of fields were blackened.

There are several homes and a fish plant in the area.

Resident James Muise says it happens every year.

He says he's worried someone is going to get hurt or lose their home.

"Yes, I am because every year it's getting worse and worse."

Muise says he saw several vehicles and young people at the end of his road yesterday morning.

"I was getting ready to go to town and a couple of cars went to the end of my road, a couple of young kids, and when I left I happened to notice there was a fire. I couldn't even go to work, I had to stay to make sure sure the fire didn't go around my house. There's an older lady next door who lives by herself, I had to make sure she was alright too."

The RCMP were also on scene, closing off a section of the Hilton Road while firefighters battled the fire.
