The leader of Nova Scotia’s PC Party says he’s disturbed that the Liberal government chose to end the current legislative session last week.
On Thursday the government issued a release advising it was wrapping up the third session of the 62nd General Assembly of Nova Scotia.
It said they had advanced a progressive plan to make Nova Scotia stronger.
Jamie Baillie says he’s baffled by that statement.
“There are real issues out there, in health care, doctors. mental health, jobs. The teachers may well on the verge of the first strike in our province’s history. We should be in the legislature working these things out.”
Baillie said Stephen MacNeil has bullied his way through talks with teachers, health care professionals and others.
“All this, while our unemployment goes up; while our teachers are about to walk out; while our classrooms are worse off. We need a long-term plan for all those things.”
The full interview with Jamie Baillie will air this Sunday morning on the Y95 CJLS Weekender.
