First Annual 'Kids Running For Kids' To Raise Funds For Brigadoon Village

The first annual Kids Running For Kids event takes place tomorrow morning at Meadowfields School.

Bobby-Lou Reardon raises funds every year for Brigadoon Village and put this together as a local fundraiser.

"It's a camp for children with different illnesses or different conditions. They get to go to camp and spent time with kids their age and kids that are struggling with the same illness or disease."

Reardon says there are 1, 2 and 4 kilometre options at the run.

"The 1k, anyone can run it, but it's specifically designed for pre-school age children if they want to come and run. Of course, they'll need to have an adult with them."

The event is open to those 18 years of age and younger.

To pre-register, visit Runner's Attic or you can register in person before 9am tomorrow.
