A woman from Argyle Head will cycle coast-to-coast this September to raise funds for kids with cancer and their families.
Jill Smith was diagnosed with a rare form of head and neck cancer two and a half years ago.
She says it was a struggle to get out of bed after her treatments, but she eventually drummed up enough strength to complete bike rides for cancer research over the last two years.
Smith says initially she wanted to do the Canada-wide ride just for fun.
It's so poignant. I had chemotherapy a few times in Yarmouth with kids beside me and I just couldn't help but think how that affected their lives.
The ride leaves Vancouver and ends in Halifax from September 6th to 23rd, a 7,000 kilometre journey.
