The Town of Yarmouth hosted 130 delegates from across the province over the weekend.
It was the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities annual Spring Workshop, and included mayors, deputy mayors, CAO's and councillors.
Sessions were held at Mariners Centre, and included discussions on cannabis legalization, solid waste, road conditions, climate change and more.
Yarmouth town councillor Wade Cleveland, part of the local host committee says the discussions affect all municipal units.
"To just discuss the situations that we all find ourselves in. What I find amazing about it, as kind of a beginner to these meetings, is how similar the issues are from Yarmouth to Cape Breton."
Cleveland says the delegates got to experience Yarmouth and toured both the town and municipality.
He says the event had a positive impact on the local economy.
