Yarmouth could be getting a visit from one of the Tall Ships.
The 'Lord Nelson' is scheduled to sail into Yarmouth Harbour on Sunday, August 13th.
However, this is not an official event with the 2017 Rendez-Vous Tall Ships Regatta.
Port of Yarmouth acting General Manager Greg Shay says it's also the captain's call and is dependent on weather.
"There are a number of variables that could influence his decision making when he calls. We've had a number of mini-cruise ships that were scheduled to come here have to cancel. We'll have to be cautiously optimistic about this one."
Shay says there will be security around the tall ships, and any call on residents being able to board the vessel is up to the captain and crew.
The 'Lord Nelson' is around 200 feet long with a maximum crew of 50, and is the first tall ship in the world that is fully accessible.
The official Tall Ships event will be in Shelburne on August 14th and Digby on August 15th.
