Two years ago last week, Yarmouth lost Jadon Robinson in a car accident, he was only 17.
The well-liked teen was a football player for Sir John A. MacDonald, and grew up playing sports in Yarmouth.
Steve Berry was a friend and mentor to Jadon, and is part of the JSTRONG foundation.
He says it was important to Jadon's family and friends to start the foundation and keep his memory alive.
"To make sure that he was still doing good work here. Just to be able to support kids and to know they'll be able to play sports and to do something that was very close to Jadon's heart and something he enjoyed."
The foundation has surpassed $10,000 in assisting Yarmouth youth in sport.
51 athletes from hockey to swimming to dance have received sponsorship.
They have also contributed $1,000 to the 'Draft and Athlete' program, which funds a Special Olympics athlete's journey to a competition.
Berry says softball and golf tournaments will hold their third annual events in 2018.
