A special event is being held tonight in honour of the victims of the Quebec City mosque shootings.
Six people were killed; five remain in critical condition.
Two arrests have been made.
A Candlelight Vigil will be held at 6.00 pm outside Yarmouth Town Hall.
Organizer Leslie Robinson says he felt compelled to do something.
"To give our thoughts and condolences to the families that have been affected, the children that will not grow up with their fathers present and also to show our support for the freedom of religion, that people of any faith are free to practice that."
He says it's a shock to all Canadians that it happened in this country.
Robinson is the coordinator of the Yarmouth Refugee Support Group.
He reminds people to dress warmly and bring a candle.
