The Tri-County Regional School Board has a new Superintendent.
Paul Ash comes to the region from the provincial department of education, where he spend 12 years as a Student Services Consultant with the African Canadian Services Division.
The Upper Big Tracadie native was promoted in 2008 to Assistant Director of the African Canadian Services Division and was promoted again in 2015 to his most recent role as the Director of the division.
Ash is also a former principal and vice-principal.
In a release, Board Chair Michael Drew says they are delighted to have Ash as Superintendent.
Ash will assume the role on March 31st.
The board also thanked Dr. Jim Gunn, who filled in as interim Superintendent after Lisa Doucet left the position in December.
