Some Grade 9 students got an opportunity to learn about non-traditional careers in skilled trades and technologies.
The Young Women's Conference was held today at the NSCC Burridge Campus.
The students experienced a day of hands-on career exploration.
Project Manager Robin Lorway of Skills Canada says it gives the young women an opportunity to explore jobs they may not have considered before.
