First degree murder charge dropped against Middleton.

Thursday, March 4th 2010

A charge of first-degree murder has been dropped against Jermaine Shawn Middleton, one of two men accused of killing Neil Joseph Blades Jr. last summer. The revelation was made in court today when the Crown admitted there wasn't enough evidence to support the charge. Middleton was instead charged with accessory to murder after the fact and pleaded guilty. He will remain in custody until  sentencing on April 26th. Ian Huskins still faces a charge of murder and remains in custody until a preliminary hearing on May 6 and 7.
